Burke Lane
President

Mr. Lane has been in the commercial architecture business for over 30 years.  His vast experience in designing, planning and overseeing construction for more than $6.7 billion in new and renovated commercial projects is invaluable to our clients.  He is responsible for property inspections, deferred maintenance and structural and functional obsolescence evaluations for all commercial properties.

Michael Lane, MAI/Senior Property Tax Consultant

Mr. Lane has been involved in commercial real estate for over 20 years and has extensive experience appraising all types of income producing properties including retail and lifestyle centers, mid and high rise office buildings, industrial facilities and apartment properties.  Along with being a licensed State of Texas Property Tax Consultant and real estate broker, he holds his designation of MAI and is a State of Texas Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.  Mr. Lane, with his extensive appraisal experience provides Lane Property Tax Advocates with the necessary sales data and analysis to achieve the lowest assessments possible for all types of commercial properties.

Melissa Wells
Director of Business Development/Property Tax Consultant

For 12 years, Ms. Wells has focused her career in commercial real estate development, sales, and leasing.  Having worked for one of Houston’s largest property tax consulting firms, Ms. Wells has extensive knowledge of the commercial real estate tax process.  After graduating from the University of Houston with a BBA in Management, Melissa worked for a prominent Houston developer for 7 years learning the commercial real estate market.  She currently holds her Property Tax Consulting License and her real estate sales license. She is responsible for managing client relations and business development for the firm.  She is a current board member for ACRP and is an active member of CREW, ULI and ICSC.

David A. Nettles
Property Tax Consultant

David A. Nettles is a lifelong resident of the Houston area and has more than 16 years of experience in the real estate industry. Beginning his career selling residential property, David later expanded his client-base and focus to encompass additional property types.

A passion for assisting clients in all aspects of their real estate needs is what has consistently driven David’s enthusiasm. Currently teaming up with Lane Property Tax, he uses his wealth of knowledge to the advantage of clients who are protesting property taxes across the state of Texas.

David is a property tax consultant, real estate broker, Mandatory Continuing Education instructor, and property tax arbitrator.
